Tournament season is in full swing, and honestly, the fishing has been up and down but still taking good weights to win or get a check. I thought the fishing was pretty good but this past weekend, it turned to AWSOME!

I have not been out this week, hoping to get out tomorrow. I am hoping to get in on what happened this past weekend! The Anglers in Action team trail was here this past weekend and they whacked them! Everyone whacked them!
The winner was Brendon McDonald (fishing by himself) with 28.18!
Second was the team of John Warren and John Pilcher with 24.20 anchored by a 7.25 lunker that did not win Big Bass honors!
Third place was Justin McClelland (also fishing alone) with 23.67!
If you wanted to be in the top 5, you had to have 22.98, top 10....21.77, Top 20....19.49 (last check), top 40....16.77, 107 five fish limits out of 125! There were 18 fish over 5 pounds, 10 over 6 pounds and 3 over 7 pounds! Pretty much everyone caught them!
Big Bass was was 7.50, caught by Richie Woodward and Chad Parmele!
I talked with several anglers that fished, and it sounded to me like whatever you wanted to throw, and wherever you wanted to fish, you could go catch them doing that.
I hope they're eating like that tomorrow!

We did have 3" to 5" of rain that day and the wind blew hard. Monkey Island up is pretty muddy. The lake came up 3' to 4' to 745 and now its coming down a little as it is at 744.2 at the time of this writing.
The water temps are all in the upper 50's to mid 60's. Lake is stained to muddy in some areas but clearing, clear in the lower end.
